Johnston Press is committed to protecting your personnel data and you should read this privacy policy carefully as it explains what personnel information will be collected from you, how it is stored and what it will be used for.

  1. Information submitted by you
    In signing up for our CV matching service you will be required to register to the site and supply personal information used in the construction of the on-line C V, this information will only be used lawfully as laid out in the 1989 Data Protection Act. In addition to this the C V Matching service necessitates the use of 'cookies' however these do not collect personal information about the user and are used only to assist with the running of the service and will not harm your computer in any way.
  2. How is the information stored
    All data is stored on high security servers in a secure environment with all personal information password protected.
  3. What is the information used for
    The information you have submitted will be used primarily for CV matching, as part of this process you will receive an e-mail each time a potential employer is interested in contacting you, no personal identification details will be made available to potential employers without your consent. If you have opted to 'receive information from third party companies' and / or 'Johnston Press companies' only the minimum information will be passed over to enable them to e-mail you.
  4. Security and Passwords
    By registering you will have submitted a user name and password. You are solely responsible for the security and correct use of your password; this should be kept confidential at all times and not disclosed to any other person. If you suspect it has become know to another third party you must notify us immediately, we accept no liability for any unauthorised or improper use or disclosure of any password.
